	MCDC Ceremony Honors Veterans

Tech Sgt. Calvin Leisure, center, stands with members of MCDC's Military Club during Veterans' Day ceremonies at the center.

World War II veteran Tech Sgt. Calvin Leisure was the guest speaker at the Veterans' Day ceremony held November 15 at MCDC. Leisure, a survivor of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, shared his story about that day.

During the ceremony, each branch of the Armed Forces was honored by the displaying of their flag and the playing of their respective fight song. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited, Taps was played, and a wreath was placed in memory of those killed in battle serving the United States.
