The Student Government Association (SGA) at MCDC is involved in many activities and has a number of responsibilities such as:
- Administering the Student Benefit Fund, which is used to purchase things that benefit the entire student body
- Working with the Recreation team to provide activities on the center for leisure time activities for students
SGA members have the opportunity to propose changes to center rules and to effect change by participating in center committee meetings. All students are encouraged to come by the SGA office or speak to an SGA representative about concerns or ideas for activities.
To become an SGA member you must:
- Be on center 45 days
- Be on the Silver level of the phase system
- Fill out an application
- Have a positive attitude about staff, students and the center
- Have no major discipline or attendance problems
