While a student at MCDC, you are responsible for:
- Taking care of your personal needs
- Securing your personal belongings at all times
- Making your bed each day
- Keeping your room and the dorm clean and neat
- Signing the Dorm Roster every morning
- Being on time to all center functions (class, dorm meetings and other appointments)
- Obeying center curfew hours
- Keeping your identification and phase card with you at all times
- Being respectful when interacting with staff and students
- Dressing appropriately for the occasion
- Keeping Job Corps a safe and drug-free place.
ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY
MCDC recognizes the harmful effects of substance abuse and violence and has a Zero Tolerance Policy against:
- Alcohol and other drug use
- Gang activity
- Sexual harassment
- Violence toward other students or staff
If you are found guilty of violating the Zero Tolerance Policy, you will be terminated from the center. The violations include:
- Possession of illegal drugs
- Gang-related activity
- Sexual assault of a criminal nature
- Assault that causes bodily harm to students or staff
- Possession of a gun or illegal weapon
- Second positive drug test
- Arrest for felony on or off center
- Robbery and extortion
- Arson
