Job Corps has a 40-year record of success in helping young people turn their lives around. The Muhlenberg Job Corps Center and U.S. Department of Labor are committed to building and improving upon that track record. That's why students and contractors who fail to live up to Job Corps' Zero Tolerance Policy for drugs and violence face serious consequences.

Every student has the right to participate in the Job Corps Program without being subjected to violence or drug abuse. To promote a positive learning and living environment for all students, Job Corps has instituted a Zero Tolerance Policy that ensures safety and security on all Job Corps Centers. All acts of violence or threats of violence, harassment or intimidation, and/or involvement with the use, possession, or sale of drugs will be immediately confronted and subject to: "One strike and you're out!"

Before entering the program, students must sign a contract to abide by the Zero Tolerance policy and stating they are entering the program drug-free. Students who choose not to take their Job Corps opportunity seriously do not belong in the program and will be dismissed.
