Job Corps school is different from your high school. In Job Corps, you learn at your own pace without competing against other students for grades. The academic staff at MCDC cares about each of our students and will spend as much time as necessary to make sure you understand what you are taught.
We offer the following classes at MCDC:
- Mathematics
- Reading
- GED classes
- Drivers' Education
- Social Skills
- Employability Skills
- Workplace Communication
- Wellness
- Diversity
Students will be assessed when they arrive on Center. Students who have 15 or more high school credits may be enrolled in the High School Diploma Program and earn credit toward a high school diploma through a partnership between the Muhlenberg Career Development Center and the local school districts. A high school diploma is issued once all required credits have been earned.
You can also receive preparation to take the General Equivalency Diploma (GED) Test. If you qualify for the GED program, you will be transported to an off-center testing site to take the GED test. The results are received approximately three to four weeks after taking the test.
Remember, to get a good paying job, you must have a diploma and be trained in a skill. Let Muhlenberg Career Development Center show you how! |
